Our Story
Founded by Dan Grangroth, Troy Fredrickson, and Garrett Maki, Accent Construction is built on the values of communication, integrity, humility, and a positive attitude—principles that guide every client relationship and every stage of construction.
The leadership team combines decades of hands-on experience in custom homebuilding, project management, and specialized trades. Their collective expertise ensures precision, refinement, and seamless execution for even the most complex architectural designs
Dan Grangroth
With over 20 years of industry experience, Dan’s career spans from hands-on craftsmanship in high-end painting and structural framing to earning degrees in Architectural Drafting and Construction Management. After relocating to Montana, he excelled as a mechanical Project Manager and general contracting Superintendent, mastering the complexities of scheduling, budgeting, and organization. Now, as a founding partner of Accent Construction, Dan combines this diverse field-to-office expertise to help homeowners build their dream homes at a fair price, without ever compromising on quality.
Troy Fredrickson
With over 10 years of industry experience, Troy’s career spans from hands-on glass installation to successfully owning and operating his own glass company in Minnesota, where he mastered client communication and project scheduling. After earning degrees in Chemistry and Education, Troy and his family relocated to the Flathead Valley, where he served as Operations Manager for a local glass company, leading teams and streamlining projects on time and on budget. Now, as a founding partner of Accent Construction, Troy channels his commitment to communication, detail, integrity, and a positive attitude into building exceptional client relationships and homes.
Garrett Maki
With over 10 years of experience, Garrett’s construction journey began in Washington building homes from the ground up, followed by roofing, siding, and framing in Alaska. After returning to Washington to run his own roofing and siding business, he transitioned into project management for a remodel company, overseeing everything from historic commercial renovations to custom homes. Now settled in Montana's Flathead Valley, Garrett worked as a lead framing carpenter and launched a local building business before partnering with Dan and Troy at Accent Construction. He brings a comprehensive understanding of the building process and a commitment to the company's core pillars: communication, integrity, humility, and a positive attitude.
